Today at GCET, Jammu, the final project submission for 8th semester was conducted. The students from both streams presented their innovative projects to the external examiners. With this the batch of 2020 has concluded their class work and is all set for their future endeavours(subject to declaration of pending results). Students were accompanied by their respective HoDs.
University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Kathua Campus, University of Jammu organized a Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with the Work for Blood Donor Society (WBDS), J&K for thalassemia child patients in the run-up to International Blood Donation Day. After proper donor screening and medical examination of all the voluntary donors, students, faculty members, and civilians of Kathua donated blood for the noble cause.
UIET Kathua Campus, University of Jammu organized three-day skill development workshop on the world famous Basohli painting popularized for its miniature art style from May 17-19, 2024. The three-day workshop on Basholi miniature painting not only provided a platform for artistic expression but also served as a testament to the rich cultural heritage of the region. The workshop commenced with an impressive turnout of students from the Institute of Music and Fine Arts(IMFA), UIET Kathua Campus.
With enthusiastic participation and creative expressions, Three Days Theatre Workshop held from 06-06-2024 to 08-06-2024 concluded here at UIET, Kathua Campus of the University of Jammu. As part of the outreach program of the Department of Students Welfare, the workshop was organised under the patronage of the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu, Prof. Umesh Rai. The workshop, guided by Prof. Prakash Antahal, Dean Students Welfare, brought together aspiring actors, theatre enthusiasts, and seasoned professionals for an immersive experience.

In a groundbreaking move towards fostering innovation and technological self-reliance, University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET), Kathua Campus, University of Jammu joined the live streaming of ‘India’s Techade: Chips for Viksit Bharat’ under India Semiconductor Mission, an ambitious initiative by the Government of India and also hosts Informational Session on ‘Semiconductor Revolution: Unlocking India's Potential’.
UIET, Kathua Campus, University of Jammu, hosted a memorable Cultural Fest “Funanza”, a student-driven activity that was packed with fun, frolic, and a myriad of scintillating performances by students, alumni and local artists. It was an effort to highlight the campus and UIET to increase admissions and provide a platform for everyone who is in Kathua academic circles to connect as well as to encourage the local talents.
The competitions of ‘Classical Dance’, ‘Quiz’ and ‘Folk Dance’ were conducted today at ‘Display Your Talent-2023’ organized by the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu. In Quiz, Anadi Mishra and Anant Mishra from UIET secured First position. All the First prize winners and Overall Champions will be felicitated on 29th of November at 3 pm at Brig. Rajinder Singh Auditorium in the Valedictory Function of Display Your Talent.
Display Your Talent-2023’ organised by the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu concluded here today at University of Jammu with huge fanfare. Prof. Bechan Lal, esteemed Vice Chancellor, Cluster University of Jammu was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Winners of different events were felicitated by the Chief Guest. Over All Trophy for Best performance in Quiz was awarded to Anant and Anadi Mishra from UIET, Kathua.
The Girls Hostel of UIET Kathua Campus, University of Jammu was inaugurated today by Professor Arvind Jasrotia, Rector, Kathua Campus (JU). The inauguration ceremony was marked by enthusiasm and optimism, signifying a significant stride in fostering an inclusive and conducive educational environment. To mark the inauguration, a traditional pooja and havan were organized, imbuing the hostel with positive energy and blessings.
